Takeya Tumbler - Victrix PDP Edition

Hey Luminaries!

It’s been a bit hectic on my end lately, so I haven’t had the chance to be as active in the community as I’d like. However, I wanted to take a moment to share a personal project I’ve been working on.

I recently created a 3D model of a Takeya Tumbler, which was a Christmas present from my company. I used Plasticity for the modeling process and then transferred it over to Keyshot for texturing and visualization.

I must say, I’m thrilled with the results! Plasticity has been a fantastic tool for surface modeling, and when combined with Keyshot, the outcomes are truly impressive.

Looking forward to diving deeper into these tools and sharing more of my projects with you all soon!

Cheers!

Really nice, also the composition.

BTW, congratulations (you to of course @joey.lopez) with the ‘marriage’ between Turtle Beach and PDP. Of course I don’t know what the internal thoughts are about it but Turtle Beach has some really nice products and I reckon also a lot of experience since they exist for quite a long time, almost as long as me. I know them especially from their flight controllers.

And exciting times as well I think, I see so many new brands pop up to get a share of the increasing popularity of the Flight Simulator and Racing kind of controllers.

Thanks Oscar, that is part of the reason haven’t been around while also several of the products I’ve been working on are launching, so crunch time for assets! We are still figuring things out as workflow and process are a bit different at Turtle Beach, but I am sure we will be able to provide our Keyshot expertise to the team.

I am still practicing my modeling on my free time which is where this project sprung from. Plasticity has been evolving so fast as they just added the XNURBs kernel which has made modeling much more efficient than with the standard Loft and Patch tools. It is exciting times over on the Plasticity side!
